More budget flights from London to Cape Town this summer

 Norse Atlantic Airways is adding more budget flights from London to Cape Town this summer after soaring demand pushed the airline to expand its frequency.

 Travellers heading to and from London and Cape Town, South Africa, will have even more low-cost options than ever this summer.

Norse Atlantic Airways has announced a major expansion of its London Gatwick–Cape Town service, with flights ramping up to six per week.

The route, first launched in October 2024, has proven hugely popular, with demand quickly outstripping expectations, prompting Norse to extend its seasonal schedule and increase flight frequency.

More frequency from Norse Atlantic this summer

What began as three flights a week grew to four earlier this year, and now up to six weekly services are set to take off.

Even more significantly, the seasonal route will now stretch well beyond its original window. Instead of ending in April, flights will continue through May 2026, beginning on 2 October 2025.

Bård Nordhagen, Chief Commercial Officer at Norse Atlantic Airways, said that they saw great opportunity in the South African market following the success of their inaugural season last year.

“By expanding services, we wish to show to the trade and consumer markets we are committed to this route.” Nordhagen said.

All flights will be operated using Norse’s modern fleet of Boeing 787 Dreamliners
